Latin European Netflix Shows You Must Watch!

In celebration of Hispanic and Latin Heritage Month, here are some must-watch Latin European Netflix shows to add to your list!

Money Heist (La Casa de Papel)

If you are looking for a show that will make your palms sweat and back stiff, Money Heist is a must-watch for you. In the Latin series, The Professor, Alvaro Morte plays a criminal mastermind who forms a group of lonely souls to join his team and rob some of the biggest banks in Europe. What is very enticing about this series is the creativity and characters within the show that make it feel so raw. Not only will this show make you scream but prepare the tissues because it will also make you cry. There are currently five seasons of this jaw-dropping series out on Netflix, and every season gets better and better!

Toy Boy

Toy Boy should be next on your list of must-watch shows because this series checks all of the boxes when it comes to a steamy romantic murder mystery. Toy Boy follows the relationship between Triana Marin, a police detective played by Maria Pedraza, and Hugo Beltran Gonzalez, a male stripper played by Jesus Mosquera. It explores how they manage to solve a murder mystery and find love at the same time. The show is not like any other murder mystery. The relationships between the characters in this series have very deep connections, and the sudden change of events in the show will make you want to press next after each episode.

Élite

Elite is a show incomparable to any high school drama tv show you’ve ever watched. You could think of this show as Gossip Girl on steroids in many ways because it is that good. It follows a group of friends from various backgrounds forced to work together to find who the murder of one of their friends is. There is so much drama packed into a season, and currently, there are four seasons out on Netflix. One of the best parts of the series is how they show that anyone from any background can be friends, and though there are many differences between each character, they all need each other to support one another in the end.

The Mess You Leave Behind

Yes, this is another high school thriller, but it’s from a teacher’s perspective this time. Raquel Valero, the teacher, played by Inma Cuesta, starts a new teaching position at a high school but is haunted by the death of a previous teacher that she replaced, who died a couple of weeks before her arrival. Of course, the students had to give her a hard time, such as blackmailing her and finding any way possible to force her out. It explores her relationship with her students and how she manages to find her way out of this situation that was brought upon her since she arrived at the new school.
