Keira Knightley’s Netflix Thriller Gets Release Date

Keira Knightley’s suspense-filled Netflix film The Woman in Cabin 10 has set an October premiere and released an official first look.

Netflix has officially announced the premiere date and shared a first look at its highly anticipated psychological thriller The Woman in Cabin 10, starring Keira Knightley and directed by Simon Stone. The global release is set for Friday, October 10, 2025.

Based on Ruth Ware’s international bestselling novel of the same name, the story follows a travel journalist, Lo (played by Keira Knightley), who boards a luxury yacht for an assignment. One night, she witnesses a woman being thrown overboard — but by morning, all passengers are accounted for and no one believes her. Determined to uncover the truth, Lo’s investigation spirals into a gripping mystery that puts her own life in danger.

The film is co-written by Joe Shrapnel, Anna Waterhouse, and director Simon Stone, and produced by Debra Hayward and Ilda Diffley.

Keira Knightley is joined by a powerhouse cast that includes Guy Pearce, David Ajala, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings, Hannah Waddingham, Gitte Witt, Christopher Rygh, Pippa Bennett-Warner, John MacMillan, Paul Kaye, Amanda Collin, and Lisa Loven Kongsli.

Author Ruth Ware shared her thoughts with Tudum.com about seeing her work brought to life:

“I’ve said in acknowledgements before that it takes a village to make a book, but what I learned going on set for Cabin 10 is that it takes a whole town to make a film – it’s truly amazing seeing so many people working so hard on something you created. It’s also a big leap of faith of course – like handing your baby over to strangers. But I feel Lo and company are in good hands.”

With a chilling premise, a sharp script, and a stellar ensemble cast, The Woman in Cabin 10 is set to be one of fall’s must-watch thrillers when it docks on Netflix this October.
