Justin Bieber Upset About Pop Grammy Nominations

Justin Bieber is upset as he believes his latest album ‘Changes’ is R&B, not Pop, after it received 3 Pop Grammy nominations.

Shortly after the Grammys announced the nominees for the 63rd award show, Justin Bieber took to social media to share his thoughts on his four nominations.

Bieber is nominated for Pop Vocal Album (Changes), Pop Solo Performance (Yummy), Pop Duo/ Group Performance (Intentions), and Country Duo/ Group Performance (10,000 Hours).

He believes that his three pop nominations should have been in the R&B category. In his Instagram post, he wrote, “Changes was and is an R&B album. It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album which is very strange to me.”

While Bieber is flattered to be acknowledged by the Grammys for his work, he believes that the chords, melodies, vocal style, and hip-hop drums that were chosen are all parts of an R&B album.

“To be clear, I absolutely love Pop music it just wasn’t what I set out to make this time around.” He ends his note by saying, “My gratitude for feeling respected for my work remains, and I am honored to be nominated either way.”
