Jesse Eisenberg reunites with the Four Horsemen and a new cast of illusionists in the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.
The magic is back and bigger than ever. Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for the highly anticipated third chapter of its heist-meets-illusionist franchise, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and it’s pulling no punches when it comes to spectacle, mystery, and fresh faces.
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco return to reprise their iconic roles as the Four Horsemen — the elite team of illusionists known for using their performances to pull off jaw-dropping, high-stakes heists. Also returning to the magical mayhem is Morgan Freeman, reprising his familiar role from the first two films.
The trailer also introduces a new generation of illusionists played by Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, Rosamund Pike, and Dominic Sessa. According to the film’s logline, these fresh recruits join the Four Horsemen to perform “mind-melding twists, turns, surprises and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.”
Set against an electrifying backdrop of sleight-of-hand and cinematic spectacle, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t promises to build on the success of 2016’s Now You See Me 2, elevating the stakes with new tricks and a fresh ensemble.
In an interview from October with GamesRadar+, Jesse Eisenberg opened up about filming in Budapest and working once again with director Ruben Fleischer, who previously teamed with the actor on Zombieland. “We’ve been in Budapest for the last three months, and I almost made it till the end without breaking anything,” Eisenberg joked, referring to a finger injury on set. “And the movie is really astounding.”
He added, “Every day we walk onto set and pinch ourselves because the set pieces, the magic, the ensemble — it’s really, truly miraculous.”
Jesse Eisenberg had teased the project in March 2024, revealing to Collider that the screenplay had been completed and filming would begin soon. True to his word, production moved swiftly and wrapped in November 2024, as confirmed by a celebratory Instagram post.
The film marks the return of original screenwriters Ed Solomon and Boaz Yakin, who co-wrote the script with Seth Grahame-Smith. Directing duties are handled by Fleischer, adding yet another reunion for the longtime collaborators.
With a dazzling blend of familiar faces and new talent, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is shaping up to be the franchise’s most spellbinding entry yet.
