In honor of Jennifer Lopez’s new film Marry Me, we wanted to give you a reminder of the most exciting moments throughout her career! 

Our favorite triple threat, Jennifer Lopez, has returned to our screens in her newest movie Marry Me, and fans are raving non stop about the hit film! In honor of the lovely J.Lo, we’re taking a look at some of her most iconic moments!

“Jenny From The Block”

This song was a cultural reset that fans still listen to and love to this day. Released in 2002, this song helped build Lopez’s fanbase and allowed her to connect with her them. Lopez was seen not just as a superstar, but as a relatable person just like any other girl who had grown up in the Bronx in New York. This song was one of the first times people got an inside look at the star’s life.

The Versace Dress

The moment Lopez appeared in the Versace green jungle printed dress to the Grammy Awards in 2000, she stunned the crowd and the nation. All eyes were on her that night as she presented an award and was nominated for one herself. The next day Lopez was in every magazine. So many people searched for her picture in the dress that google images was invented because of her. That moment set the tone for future award shows. Donatella Versace personally asked Lopez to walk her Milan runway, wearing an updated style of the dress.

Selena

J.Lo left the world in awe as she mastered the iconic role of Selena in the movie Selena. It was her breakout role, and this biopic greatly influenced the rest of her acting career. In an interview with GQ, she said she had five auditions for the part, and it was an intense process. Playing Selena showed her audience a brand new side of J.Lo’s skill, and she gained immense respect,
“That was something that really defined a time in my life. Things that define your life as an artist also define you as a person,” Lopez said.

The album that originally put her on the map, On the 6 was released in 1999. Lopez revealed her musical talents to the world, and people loved her. She received two grammy nominations, and an MTV award. This album marked the beginning of her extremely successful career as an artist. This album led to her future hit albums such as J.Lo which originally had an estimated eight million and three hundred album sales.

Monster In Law

The multifaceted celebrity starred in the marvelous movie Monster In Law alongside Michael Vartan in 2005. This film stood out among her many others because of her opportunity to work with Jane Fonda, who returned to cinema after her last role in 1990. Lopez went on to become one of the highest paid Latina actresses in the history of Hollywood.

American Idol

The Icon was offered the chance to be a judge on the show, and she excitedly took on this new role in 2011. Lopez really made a difference in people’s lives by connecting with them and honoring what the show is truly about, making people’s dreams. As a judge, viewers were able to see first hand how passionate Lopez is about the work she does.

The Super Bowl

J.Lo and Shakira shook things up at the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show performance. Their supreme choreography, outfits, and music created an unforgettable moment beyond Super Bowl history. Everyone at the game and watching at home was up on their feet! J.Lo brought an abundance of energy, and fans are still proud to this day!
