Is Rihanna Already the Super Bowl LVII MVP?

We all know the Super Bowl is the most-watched annual sporting event in the world, and this year the views are going to be even wilder because it has been announced that Rihanna will be the Super Bowl Halftime Performer. Let’s talk about what we can expect from RiRi on Super Bowl Sunday!

The 2023 Super Bowl is almost here, and football fans have placed their predictions as to who will be representing the AFC and the NFC. Be that as it may, Rihanna lovers have their own predictions about what the impromptu “concert” will deliver to fans. The star-studded musician and new mother was announced to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show via The NFL Twitter account on Sunday, September 25th, 2022. Rihanna has assured fans the show is going to be spectacular as she has been noted to say, “If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special.” This only proves that Rihanna slays as a musician, businesswoman, and mother.

As soon as the announcement came out, fans quickly took to Twitter to express their excitement, especially because RiRi’s last concert was back in 2016 and up until recently her last music release was back in 2020. She recently released the song “Lift Me Up,” which is the lead single from the soundtrack Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. On Tuesday, January 24th, it became Oscar-nominated for “Best Original Song.” However, some fans were left skeptical about the performance’s potential due to the lack of new music Rihanna might bring to the show.

As for celebrity guests and song predictions, Rihanna is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, which means she has connections to many other artists. She is represented by Roc Nation, co-founded by Jay-Z, and fans have been hoping this collaboration becomes a reality as a big hit of hers, “Umbrella,” features Jay-Z. Another big hit she could possibly perform is “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris, another possible guest performer! Recently, Shakira has been all over the news with her recent release of “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” which is recognized as a break-up diss to her ex. Well, in 2014, Shakira and Rihanna released the hit “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” so this collab in 2023 would be a nostalgic look back to the 2010s music era. Many of Rihanna’s biggest hits feature big named artists. Who do you want to see on stage with Rihanna?

No matter what Rihanna does, she always does it in style, and there is no way she would hold back for her Super Bowl comeback. On January 13th, Apple Music posted a Youtube Video titled, “Rihanna Is Back | Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show (Official Trailer).” The outfit, accessories, the hair, everything is already so showstopping; imagine what she’ll surprise her fans with on Super Bowl Sunday. In 2022, RiRi attended fashion shows for brands like Dior, Gucci, Off-White, and more, and these brands always turn heads. What is an ensemble you hope to see Rihanna wear for her performance?

All these predictions and what if’s are beyond exciting; now all we do is wait for 2 weeks. It can’t come soon enough! Tune into FOX on February 12th, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. EST to watch Super Bowl LVII and RiRi’s Halftime performance! The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
