Iconic Blake Lively Roles!

Blake Lively is one of the most captivating actors of our time. Staring as Serena for all five seasons of Gossip Girl catapulted her to fame but she still had many great roles early on in her career, including The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Accepted. Let’s take a look at some of her most iconic roles!

Gossip Girl – “Serena Van Der Woodsen”

As Serena Van der Woodsen, Blake Lively has become a household name. Playing the “It girl,” she was fascinating and believable. Even though we all loved Serena, Lively had some struggles portraying the character. In an interview with Harper Bazaar, “People liked it, but it always seemed a little personally compromised – you want to be putting a better message out there.” Even though she may not have been the best role model, Lively definitely killed it in this role.

A Simple Favor – “Emily Nelson”

Emily is a tough fashion PR executive whose idea of fun is drinking cocktails. After some gin and confiding in her friend Stephanie, the two become the best of friends. After that, Emily only asks Stephanie to do one small favor for her: pick up her son from school. However, this small favor turns into more than Stephanie bargained for. From her stunning wardrobe to her intriguing on-screen behavior, Lively shines in this enigmatic movie.

The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants – Bridget “Bee” Vreeland

Lively excels at displaying her feelings and revealing her genuine friendships with her co-stars in this film. Then, only 16, Lively made a lasting impression in this performance. She has previously stated that she “would love” to return for a third film installment of the franchise in a 2016 interview with E! We for one think that would be a marvelous idea and need the studios to get started on this ASAP!

“The Age of Adaline” – Adaline Bowman

What more suitable actress to put in a film about a classic beauty who never ages than Blake Lively? The Age of Adaline features the story of a woman who has lived for 107 years and is a charming and touching film. Blake Lively gives a moving performance in this film as we see her character deal with the effects that a lifetime of not aging brings.
