Get To Know Artist Spencer Sutherland!

Spencer Sutherland is an actor, singer songwriter, and indie pop artist. Born August 31st, 1992, in Pickerington, Ohio. Having a passion for music at a young age, he participated in musicals and show choir in his hometown, often performing in restaurants and several venue gigs.

Eventually, Sutherland moved to California, where he pursued songwriting, co-writing, and a music career in which he released his first single in 2013, “Heartstrings”. By 2017, the artist had traveled to the UK, where he took part in X Factor, auditioning with the song “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye. He made it through to the live shows, which then led to him becoming the opening act for the American pop band JAGMAC in 2018. On tour with the band, he issued the single “Talk.”

You may have been introduced to Spencer through his various covers on TikTok. One of his many viral videos that gained popular attention was his duet to the open verse challenge he took part in with Stacey Ryan, a Canadian singer. The video showcased his vocal runs and rich range. He was also picked by iHeart Radio’s Elvis Duran as Artist of the Month and performed on NBC’s Today Live with the song “Selfish”. Later down the line, he opened for artists and bands like the Jonas Brothers, Big Time Rush, and Kelsea Ballerini.

Not only is he a gifted singer, but he is also an actor, as you may have seen him on Prime Video’s I Know What You Did Last Summer as Dale or even on Netflix’s Afterlife of the Party with Victoria Justice, where he played the character Koop.

As of 2023, Spencer Sutherland released his debut album, In His Mania, in March and is currently touring and he recently completed his tour, of the same name.
