Gen V Season 2 Trailer Drops at San Diego Comic-Con

Gen V season 2 trailer debuts at San Diego Comic-Con as Prime Video teases new supes, major reveals, and cameos from The Boys universe.

Prime Video turned up the heat at San Diego Comic-Con as it dropped the official trailer for season two of its hit series Gen V, the darkly comic spinoff of the Emmy-winning The Boys. Packed with shocking new powers, twisted alliances, and familiar faces from across the Vought-verse, the trailer sets the tone for what’s to come when the new season premieres September 17. The first three episodes will be available that day, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

Fans filled the panel to capacity on Friday, where cast members Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Hamish Linklater, and showrunner Michele Fazekas took the stage. The conversation was moderated by The Boys favorite P.J. Byrne, with a special surprise message from Chace Crawford, who reprises his role as The Deep in season two.

The explosive new trailer teases some big developments: fan-favorite characters face fresh challenges, tensions escalate on campus and off, and Ethan Slater (Wicked) joins the cast in a recurring role as Thomas Godolkin, the mysterious new dean of Godolkin University.

Slater, who earned accolades for playing Boq in the Oscar-winning Wicked and a Tony nomination for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, adds even more star power to the ensemble. He’ll also appear in CBS’ Elsbeth.

Meanwhile, Sean Patrick Thomas (Till) has been promoted to series regular, continuing his role as Polarity.

In season two, Godolkin University reopens amid chaos in the outside world. As Homelander rules with an iron fist, the campus becomes ground zero for the growing war between humans and supes. While Cate and Sam are being celebrated as heroes, Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to school carrying deep scars from the previous season’s events. With a cryptic new dean pushing a dangerous agenda and a top-secret program tied to the university’s origins being uncovered, the stakes have never been higher—especially for Marie, who may be more involved than she realizes.

The season stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity, and Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher.

Gen V is executive produced by Michele Fazekas, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum, and Brant Engelstein. Co-executive producers include Loreli Alanís, Gabriel Garcia, and Jessica Chou.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

With chaos in the air, secrets waiting to be unearthed, and a war between humans and supes on the horizon, Gen V season two is ready to blow the roof off Godolkin University.
