Everything We Want To See On This Season on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

With season 18 kicking off, there’s a lot that can unravel at Grey Sloan Memorial as they are navigating the rebirth of the hospital after the COVID-19 outbreak. Here are some of the things we’re hoping to see this season!

After a season dominated by the pandemic, and Meredith Grey having hallucinations which, let’s be real, brought back some of our favorite cast members, it’s time for the season 18 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. But what can we expect to see?

Shonda Rhimes always has a way of leaving us with jaw-dropping moments, in addition to crying one moment and laughing the next, so it’s safe to say it’s rather unpredictable to have any indication of what could be happening at Grey Sloan Memorial this season.

But being unpredictable has never stopped us from having some hope for new romances and new characters… or old. So here are some of our hopes for what’s to come this season.

New Love, Or Refocused Priorities

While executive producer Meg Marinis told TV Line that the last thing Meredith Grey will be thinking about is a love interest, it is important to note that before Meredith got sick, there were definitely a few sparks flying between her and Dr. Cormac Hayes.

Growing Family

It’s possible that newlyweds Maggie and Winston could be adding to their family. Some fans have predicted that if she gets pregnant, it will be Richard’s first biological grandchild, and he will love being a grandfather. I mean, who doesn’t want to see Richard in awe over his grandbaby?

Mom Overload

Let’s not forget that Jo Wilson is now a mom and, on top of that, an OB/GYN resident. There’s a lot on her plate being a new working mom, and it’s a lot to figure out. It’s clear she feels a love towards Luna that she’s never felt before, but she refuses to take a step back from her career. Fans are waiting for Jo and Link to finally get their chance at love, but it might take longer than fans are willing to wait.

She Said… No

Yes, as much as fans want to see a romance between Jo and Link, it’s going to take some time because here’s a reminder: Amelia said no to Link’s proposal in front of three children! Yikes! We want to see how the show proceeds with this situation, and we hope it isn’t brushed off with a short conversation because Link is hurting.

And You Must Be The Returnee

Why hello, Ms. Addison Montgomery – we’ve missed you. Since Jo has recently decided to pursue a career in pediatrics, she will likely cross paths with Addison since she does specialize in maternal-fetal medicine. But will her return cause some issues with Jo? Even though we all love Jo, we are hoping Addison returns like her same-old self.

The premiere is set for September 30th at 9 p.m. E.T. on ABC!
