Everything To Know About ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’!

What seems like a Martin Scorsese’s western is actually a love story at heart set in the backdrop of a tragedy. Here is everything we know about the upcoming film.

Martin Scorsese is teaming up again with his frequent collaborators Leonardo Di Caprio and Robert DeNiro for Apple TV+’s Killers of the Flower Moon, a feature based on a book of the same name by David Grann about Osage Indian murders. The movie made its world premiere at the recently concluded Venice Film Festival with a standing ovation and a lot of praise from the critics. Here’s Everything you need to know about the upcoming film.

The feature is being billed as a “western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.” Set in the 1920s the movie follows Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio), a returning war hero, who is encouraged by his uncle William (De Niro) to marry an Osage woman Mollie Kyle (Lilly Gladstone), to bilk her family out of oil profits. When one by one Mollie’s family members start to die, she takes it upon herself to get justice.

Along with De Niro as William Hale and DiCaprio as Ernest Burkhart, Gladstone is leading the cast as the Osage woman who is married (and in love with) Ernest. The ensemble also includes Jesse Plemons as investigator Tom White, Brendan Fraser as Hale’s attorney W. S. Hamilton, Scott Shepherd as Bryan Burkhart, and John Lithgow as Prosecutor Leaward. Further rounding off the cast as Mollie’s family are Tantoo Cardinal, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, and William Belleau.

Apple has revealed the trailer of the movie that highlight the central conflict: the white interlopers coming for the Osage people’s new-found wealth, it shows how they manipulated, extorted, and stole Osages’ money before resorting to murder. Amid all the chaos, we also see Ernest and Mollie’s delicate relationship which makes the crux of the story.
