Netflix releases the official trailer and new photos for Emily in Paris season 5, premiering December 18, giving fans a first look at Emily’s new challenges in Rome and the high-stakes drama ahead.

Netflix is turning up the excitement for one of its most anticipated returns of the year. Today, the streamer debuted the official trailer and a fresh batch of photos from Season 5 of Emily in Paris, confirming that all 10 episodes will arrive on December 18.

The new footage offers a first glimpse at Emily’s next chapter as she takes on life in Rome as the head of Agence Grateau’s newest branch. Season 5 sets the stage for both personal and professional upheaval as she faces new romance complications, workplace friction, and the cultural challenges of settling into a different city.

According to the official synopsis, Emily finds herself juggling high expectations while embracing her new role. Just as she begins to gain her footing, a creative idea at work unexpectedly backfires, sending shockwaves through her personal and professional life. The fallout leads to heartbreak, career setbacks, and a renewed struggle to find balance. As she attempts to regain stability, Emily leans deeper into her French lifestyle — but a significant secret soon threatens one of her closest relationships. Through honesty and conflict, she ultimately emerges with stronger bonds, fresh clarity, and the readiness to move forward with new possibilities.

Season 5 brings back series creator, executive producer, and writer Darren Star, alongside executive producers Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy.
