Drop Your Buffs! It’s time for the Survivor Merge and Edge Challenge – S40 E08 ‘Survivor’ Recap & Review

YouTube video
The veteran reality series hosted by Jeff Probst brings its 18 castaways to San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, for its 30th installment. This season sees the group divided into three tribes — the white collars, which includes a corporate executive and a retail buyer, the blue collars, which includes a postal worker and a contractor, and the no collars, consisting of free-spirited individuals who are known to break the rules. The three tribes approach the game and how the interact with each other differently, while all sharing the same goal, to earn the title of Sole Survivor.
After days of battling it out on the Edge of Extinction, it’s finally time for the survivors to take their chance at getting back in the game. It was a close race between Boston Rob and Tyson, but thanks to some peanut butter, Tyson had the extra energy needed to turn out a victory. With Tyson back, a new division defines the game: Higher profile vs. lower profile. At the immunity challenge, two necklaces are up for grabs, and it’s Denise and Jeremy that dominate the first round. Back at camp, Nick, Wendell, and Adam’s names were brought up for elimination, but Jeremy wanted to save Wendell to be able to work with him in the future. In the end, Jeremy made a strategic retreat and Wendell was voted out.
