‘Dancing with the Stars’ Semi-finals Superlatives!

Can you believe Dancing with the Stars has already reached Semi-finals week? Here are our superlatives for this week’s dances, costumes, and more!

**Elimination Spoilers**

Dancing with the Stars is wrapping up its season with this week’s semi-finals leaving us with only 4 remaining couples. The episode consisted of “redemption” dances along with another original dance, many of which were contemporary. Another heartbreaking elimination had many fans in shock as Melora Hardin went home before the finals, along with Olympian Suni Lee.
Melora was saved from last week’s eliminations by judges, sending home Jimmie Allen instead.

The dances this week were truly a showdown of who wants that mirrorball more, with contestants like Suni Lee and Melora Hardin giving it their all. Here are our superlatives for the Semi-finals on Dancing with the Stars!

Best “Redemption”: Melora Hardin & Artem Chigvintsev

Make way for queen Melora! This Rumba was what dreams are made of. This duo performed a graceful dance to “I Don’t Want To Wait” by Paula Cole and we couldn’t get enough. Melora was one of the few remaining contestants to not have an advantage in this competition with no former dance or athletic background. Sadly, this was one of Melora’s final performances as she was eliminated at the end of the episode. We were truly rooting for her to take the Mirrorball home, so this was tough to watch. Melora showcased her passion and hard work in these dances unlike any other contestant, and this “Redemption” dance was no exception.

Best Regular Dance: Suni Lee & Sasha Farber

Where has this energy been all season?! Suni’s Contemporary performance to Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity” was by far the best performance of the night and of her career on DWTS. The emotion in this performance was unlike anything we’ve seen from her this season, but we are so glad we saw it this week. Suni absolutely stole the show with this dance, and it was tough to say goodbye after watching this one.

Best Choreography: Suni Lee & Sasha Farber

This dance was truly some of Sasha’s best work. Both the “Redemption” dance and the Contemporary performance had beautiful choreography and were performed spectacularly. Despite being her last episode of DWTS, this was by far the best we’ve seen from this duo all season! While all of the contemporary dances during the semi-finals night were incredible, Suni and Sasha put on a show like we’ve never seen. Bravo to these two!

Best Costumes: Amanda Kloots & Alan Bersten

Amanda Kloots looked beautiful in this tribute to her late husband, Nick Cordero. The couple performed a Contemporary to “Live Your Life – Nick Cordero” by Lenii. This performance was heart-wrenching and performed perfectly by Amanda. The costumes were perfect for the performance, allowing us to admire them while still focusing on the meaning of the dance. It’s no shock this pair is headed to the finale!

Most Deserving of the Mirrorball Trophy:

All four of the remaining couples are extremely hardworking and capable of winning the Mirrorball trophy. After some surprising eliminations throughout the season, many of our original predicted winners have been sent home. Following careful consideration, we believe that JoJo Siwa is the most deserving of the trophy out of the remaining couples. JoJo has a dance background, however, after an entire season on DWTS, we can see the hard work, dedication, and improvement that has come out of her time on the show. JoJo has nailed every single performance and seriously improved her ballroom skills throughout the past several weeks, and we are hoping to see her take that trophy home!

The finale is right around the corner, and with 4 talented couples in the competition, it’s hard to say who will take home the Mirrorball trophy!
