Charli XCX Marries The 1975 Drummer George Daniel

Charli XCX and The 1975’s George Daniel get married in London as the pop innovator stunned in a Vivienne Westwood bridal mini dress.

Charli XCX and The 1975 drummer George Daniel are officially married. A representative for Daniel confirmed to The Associated Press that the couple tied the knot over the weekend, posing for photos outside London’s Hackney Town Hall on Saturday.

Daniel looked sharp in a classic suit, while the BRAT pop star stunned in a Vivienne Westwood bridal mini dress. The moment was also shared by Charli XCX herself in a TikTok video featuring her wedding look. The clip, set to text reading “when george isn’t crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,” ended with the cheeky caption, “luckily he did.”

Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, is known for pushing boundaries in pop music. She first gained attention with the 2012 smash hit “I Love It,” which she wrote for Icona Pop, and further cemented her status with “Fancy,” her 2014 collaboration with Iggy Azalea. In the years since, she’s remained a force in the music world, collaborating with hyperpop innovators like PC Music and dropping bold, experimental albums. Her most recent release, BRAT, has been hailed as a wild, energetic soundtrack to the summer of 2025.

Daniel is a founding member of the award-winning pop-rock group The 1975. In addition to his work as the band’s drummer, he’s also known for his skills as a producer and DJ. He and Charli XCX have worked together professionally, with Daniel serving as a co-producer and co-writer on two tracks from BRAT.

The two artists announced their engagement on Instagram in 2023, and now, just two years later, they’ve made it official in style.
