After it was announced that Big Time Rush would not continue, Schmidt returned to his band Heffron Drive which he was in the years before BTR was formed. In 2014, they released their single “Parallel.” That same year, they dropped their album Happy Mistakes. Kendall has also been on the Nickelodeon adaptation of “School of Rock” as Justin Night Lizard.

Following the end of the band, Logan took a three-year hiatus from music, releasing his first solo single, “Sleepwalker,” in December 2016. After the end of the show, James appeared on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars with Peta Murgatroyd, finishing in fourth. A year later, he released his first solo single “Lies” with his debut album, How I Like It, following in 2017. Big Brother fans might recognize him from the first season of the celebrity edition where he was evicted on day 24. He has continued releasing music throughout 2019; that same year he announced he would be starring in an independent film alongside Emily Bett Rickards.

Carlos PenaVega

In 2014, Carlos released his solo single in Spanish, “Electrico.” That same year he married Alexa Vega (Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids) and now they have three kids.
