Ariana Grande Will Release A New Album Before October Ends

Ariana Grande went viral on Wednesday after revealing she’s dropping an album sometime before the end of October.

The 27-year-old performer shared the news in a tweet that trended on the app and stirred excitement among Arianators. The prospective new music will be Grande’s sixth studio album, all of which have come out in the last decade.

The announcement of AG6 was met with an outpouring of love and eagerness. Fans have already made TikTok videos and memes in response to the news. The person running the MTV Twitter page was very candid about their reaction to the unexpected announcement, responding to Grande with “I just choked on my avocado toast.” Spotify’s Twitter account even tweeted out, “Ariana saves 2020.” Several celebrities also reacted on social media.

Netflix also confirmed today that Grande will appear alongside a wave of other popular actors in director Adam McKay’s star-studded comedy, Don’t Look Up. The movie is set with one of the best, celebrity stacked casts in recent cinema history. Jennifer Lawrence stars as an astronomer beside other A-listers: Grande, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Kid Cudi, and several others.

The award-winning pop singer’s last album, thank u, next, was released Feb. 8, 2019. It was followed by The Sweetener World Tour, which was in support of her fourth and fifth studio albums. It was also Grande’s fourth concert tour with just over 100 different shows in Europe and North America.

Grande first hinted she was working on new music on the one year anniversary of thank u, next. She captioned the Instagram post with a sincere message about the personal impact the project had on her and how it gave her the courage to feel vulnerable.

“I have been writing and creating a lot lately and it feels nice. I am in no rush to pop anything out of the oven yet!! But I do look forward to this new chapter and sharing more stories/life with you,” the singer and actress expressed.

There’s no finalized tracklist or official name for AG6, but the music sensation is sure to drop great new songs with her incredible vocals!
