Standup comedian, Pete Davidson, has left Saturday Night Live after 8 years, and here’s everything to know about what’s next for his career!

Starting his SNL career in 2014, Pete Davidson, at the age of 20, was joined as the youngest cast member to be a part of the series. Sadly that time has come to an end as Davidson has announced that he will be leaving SNL after 8 years. In a recent Instagram post, which was credited to Davidson, shared via Dave Sirus, a friend of Davidson and SNL writer, the post included a video of Davidson behind the scenes of his first sketch at SNL. In the post’s caption, Davidson wrote a heartfelt farewell which said, “When I got the show I was 20 years old and I had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t but especially back then. I wasn’t really a sketch performer I was just a stand-up.” Davidson then continued on saying, “SNL is my home. I’m so happy and sad about tonight’s show. For so many reasons I can’t explain,” confirming that this would be his last show as a regular on SNL.
