If you’re going to try any show from this list, you have to give this one a go.
Code Lyoko

Code Lyoko has quickly become one of our unexpected favorites since it hit Netflix this year. This show tackles the real-life obstacles and barriers that young adults face as they travel into the world of Lyoko (a virtual world powered by a supercomputer).
The premise is very refreshing and is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The show is also great for casual watching, as you can jump in wherever you would like and still enjoy the series.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
“Sometimes life is like this tunnel. You can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you keep moving, you will come to a better place.” – Iroh
You already knew that ATLA would be on this list. The animations, the attention to detail, the characters, the life lessons. The best part about Avatar: The Last Airbender is its timelessness — we will never get tired of this show.
Every time we watch this series (over 4 times now, humblebrag) we pick up something new. For example, did you know that each tribe has its own real-life martial arts technique? For instance, waterbenders practice the Chinese martial art, Taichi.
Total Drama

This one is for all of our reality TV buffs. If you can’t get enough of Survivor, Big Brother, and The Challenge, this animated series is for you!
Total Drama is filled with goofy characters that are more than ready to compete, keeping your eyes glued to the screen. We love seeing this cast go head to head, in a completely ridiculous and over-dramatic fashion.
Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse
“Camping? You said we were going to a luxury wooded resort.” – Raquelle
We get it, this one may seem a bit skeptical, but you have to give it a try. This show is ridiculously funny and lighthearted. If you need a quick watch to brighten your day, this is the one for you.
Barbie is such a funny and relatable character, and it brings us so much comfort to see her shine in this animated series. Her nemesis (unbeknownst to Barbie), Raquelle, is equally dramatic and hilarious (she is our favorite character, by far). Don’t let the stigma fool you, this show is absolute gold.
