Raising Kanan

Are you a Power saga superfan? Well, you’re going to fall in love with this show! The hit show is a spinoff of Power and depicts Kanan’s upbringing. Throughout the show, you will discover how he got in the game, realize why he compares his younger self to Tariq, the tension between him and Jukebox, and so much more! Fair warning, if you thought you hated Tariq in Power, Kanan, will make your head spin!

Where to watch: Starz

Bigger is about a group of old college friends who are taking on the real world, encountering twisted love triangles, quarter-life crises, and an oddly stuffed dead dog (yes, a dead stuffed dog.) Once you’ve finished binge-watching season one, you’ll be thirsty to press play on season two! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that season three is in the works!

Where to watch: BET+ & Amazon Prime

The Ms. Pat Show

The Ms.Pat Show is a new comedy series on BET Plus about the life of comedian Pat Williams. When you watch the show, you will crack up just from hearing the relatable sayings, metaphors, and the dynamics of a Black household. Every episode touches on relevant world issues that affect the Black community. You don’t have to worry about any corny lessons either because this show keeps it authentic.

Where to watch: BET Plus

The Godfather of Harlem

The Godfather of Harlem is one if not the most gangsta shows on television. It shows the inside life of Bumpy Johnson and his relationship with Malcolm X. It’s fair to say Bumpy J never hesitates to pull the trigger if you stand in his way. Even though he is a full-time gangsta, he still makes it his mission to help Harlem and its people live better lives. Your eyes will be glued to the television, and you’ll be craving for more.

Where to watch: EPIX

Run the World

Beyonce has already told us that girls run the world, which is just what this show is all about! Within the show, you are bound to find at least a few situations you can relate to as a Black woman. This series is sexy, fun, and full of Black women enjoying the luxuries of life!

Platform: BET Plus
