10 of Your Favorite 2000’s Movies Coming to Netflix This April!

We’re feeling nostalgic because Netflix is adding so many classic 2000s movies to their roster this month. Here are ten 2000s films you can look forward to watching starting April 1st!

Dr. Suess’ The Cat in the Hat (2003)

One of the most beloved Dr. Suess’ books, The Cat in the Hat, was adapted into a live-action film filled with fantasy and a bit of inappropriate humor. Go back in time and enjoy this 2000s classic starring Mike Myers, Alec Baldwin, Dakota Fanning, and Spencer Breslin.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

Who doesn’t love a good old rom-com?! A young charming Kate Hudson and attractive Matthew McConaughey play leads Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry, respectively. Unbeknownst to each other, they set out to accomplish contradicting goals right before meeting at a bar: Andie to write an article on “How to Lose a Guy in 10 days” and Benjamin betting he can make a woman fall in love in 10 days. As time runs, sparks fly, and the odds start to run in Benjamin’s favor.

Over the Hedge (2006)

This DreamWorks animation movie may be slept on, but it’s a great witty family friendly movie about a community of forest creatures who wake from hibernation to a new set of neighbors: humans. When a cunning raccoon has to repay his food debt, he tricks the community into exploiting the new suburb by stealing food from them.

Shark Tale (2004)

In this iconic Martin Scorsese animated feature erupting with pop culture references, Will Smith stars as Oscar, a little fish with big dreams. However, when the son of a great white shark mob boss is accidentally killed, Oscar, along with Lenny, the dead shark’s brother, creates a false narrative painting Oscar as a “Sharkslayer.” As Oscar obtains notoriety, the mob boss’s father sets out to find who killed his son.

Spider-Man Trilogy

We are well aware that the debate for the best Spider-Man is a contentious one, but Tobey McGuire as Peter Parker will always be the original Spider-Man in cinema history. Netflix is dropping all three feature films on their platform, taking us back on Peter Parker’s journey of becoming Spider-Man, his love cycle with the original Mary Jane, Kirsten Dunst, and battling against his greatest foes: Green Goblin, his alter ego, Dr. Octopus, and Sandman.
