Yellowjackets Renewed For Season 4 After Huge Finale

Yellowjackets has been renewed for season 4 after season its 3 finale shatters records with 3 million viewers and leaves fans with major cliffhangers.

Yellowjackets is officially coming back for more buzz. Paramount+ With Showtime has renewed the hit survival thriller for a fourth season, hot on the heels of a jaw-dropping season 3 finale that has fans still reeling.

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets has cemented its place as one of TV’s most gripping genre-defying shows — and its season 3 conclusion proved exactly why. The finale, which began streaming on April 11 and later aired on Showtime, pulled in 3 million viewers worldwide across platforms in its first week, making it Paramount’s most-watched season finale to date.

Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut, with season three shattering all previous records,” said Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. “Ashley and Bart have masterfully crafted an utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon — a perfect alchemy of psychological horror, survival thriller and coming-of-age drama that continues to captivate audiences worldwide, brought to life by our extraordinarily talented and beloved cast.”

Season 3 marked the darkest chapter yet for the former high school soccer players stranded in the wilderness, delivering revelations that shook both the past and present timelines. The finale didn’t just answer lingering questions — including the long-teased mystery of “Pit Girl” — it also left viewers on the edge with major cliffhangers that will carry over into season 4.

The sprawling ensemble cast includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell, with Elijah Wood in a recurring role. The season also featured guest appearances from Hilary Swank, Joel McHale, Nelson Franklin, and Ashley Sutton.

Production details for season 4 will be announced soon. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and Paramount Global Content Distribution for Showtime, with executive producers Lyle, Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco, along with Drew Comins, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, and Brad Van Arragon.

With its mix of chilling horror, emotional storytelling, and unforgettable twists, Yellowjackets shows no signs of slowing down — and season 4 promises to take the survival saga to even more intense heights.
