Netflix has unveiled the premiere dates, trailer, and global tour for Wednesday season 2 as Jenna Ortega returns to Nevermore Academy.
Wednesday is back—and things are about to get even gloomier. Netflix has officially announced premiere dates, released new photos and a trailer, and launched a globe-trotting promotional campaign for the highly anticipated second season of the smash-hit supernatural series.
The first four episodes of Wednesday Season 2 will debut on August 6, 2025, with the final four episodes arriving September 3, exclusively on Netflix. Titled “Here We Woe Again,” the new season picks up with Wednesday Addams—played once again by Jenna Ortega—navigating more trouble at Nevermore Academy.
According to the official logline, Season 2 finds Wednesday tangled in fresh chaos involving family, old enemies, and eerie new mysteries. With her signature deadpan wit, she’ll have to survive both supernatural threats and the perils of human interaction—a challenge she’s still figuring out.
“We really wanted to find some new obstacles for Wednesday. She thinks she has it all under control, and discovers that human interaction isn’t as easy as she thought,” teased co-creator and executive producer Miles Millar to Tudum.com.
The behind-the-scenes dream team returns as well, with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar back as showrunners and executive producers. Tim Burton, who helped shape the visual identity of Wednesday, directs multiple episodes again and also serves as an executive producer.
Season 2 will be split into two parts:
Part 1 (Episodes 201–204): Premieres August 6, 2025
Part 2 (Episodes 205–208): Premieres September 3, 2025
The cast includes returning favorites like Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Steve Buscemi, along with an impressive lineup of guest stars. Among them: Christopher Lloyd, Fred Armisen, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and Haley Joel Osment, with Frances O’Connor and Lady Gaga appearing in Part 2.
As fans prepare for Wednesday’s twisted return, the series is hitting the road with The Doom Tour, sending cast and creators across Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and the U.S. for a delightfully dreadful promotional event. For now, get ready to step back into the shadows. The misadventures at Nevermore are just getting started.
