Wednesday season 2 part 1 continues to reign at No. 1 on Netflix while KPop Demon Hunters climbs back to the top and Night Always Comes makes a strong debut.
Netflix’s latest Top 10 rankings are here, and it’s another week of dominance for Wednesday and KPop Demon Hunters.
Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams proved unstoppable as Part 1 of Wednesday season 2 held on to the No. 1 spot on the English TV List for the second week in a row. The hit series racked up an additional 29.1 million views, topping the charts in 88 countries and landing in the Top 10 across every ranked territory. Season 1 of the supernatural favorite also climbed back into the conversation, securing the No. 3 slot with 7.4 million views in 92 countries. Fans won’t be waiting long for more spooky mischief — Part 2 of season 2 arrives on September 3 with four new episodes.
Meanwhile, the powerhouse trio of KPop Demon Hunters reclaimed their throne on the English Film List, soaring back to No. 1 with 26 million views nine weeks after its premiere. The film’s soundtrack continues to make history: it became the first soundtrack since Waiting To Exhale in 1995 to score three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously. Its lead single “Golden” made waves as the first girl group track to top the chart since Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” nearly 25 years ago. The buzz is only growing as fans gear up for the KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event in theaters.
Dark drama also had its moment. Vanessa Kirby’s thriller Night Always Comes debuted strongly at No. 2 on the English Film List with 11.3 million views, following her gripping performance as Lynette, a woman racing against time to save her family’s home. Romantic drama My Oxford Year enchanted viewers into giving it 11 million views at No. 3, while Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2 kept fans laughing with 7 million views at No. 4.
Over in English TV, The Reality of the Biggest Loser documentary series made its mark, debuting at No. 2 with 7.5 million views. True crime fans were hooked on Yosemite: UNTAMED, which hit No. 4 with 4.9 million views.
International titles also made waves this week. Argentine drama In the Mud, a spin-off of El Marginal, debuted at No. 1 on the Non-English TV List with 5.6 million views. Other standouts included French comedy Young Millionaires (No. 4, 3.5 million views), Korean legal drama Beyond the Bar (No. 2, 4.5 million views), Mexican drama Unspeakable Sins (No. 3, 3.5 million views), and fan-favorite Squid Game season 3, which added another 1.6 million views at No. 7. Reality TV also stayed strong with Love Is Blind UK season 2 (No. 8, 2.6 million views) and Japanese competition series Final Draft (No. 8 in non-English TV, 1.4 million views).
In Non-English Films, Malaysian action-thriller Blood Brothers: Bara Naga led with 2 million views. German mystery Brick followed with 1.7 million views, while Indonesian drama Norma: Antara Mertua dan Manantu earned 1.6 million views. Thai horror Halabala (Survival Cut) rounded out the top four with 1.2 million views.
The global Top 10 proves once again that audiences are hungry for variety, from supernatural scares and musical adventures to gritty thrillers and heartwarming romances.
