Netflix’s newest romantic drama My Oxford Year is now streaming, inviting viewers into a sweeping story of dreams, discovery, and unexpected love.
Directed by Iain Morris, the film stars Sofia Carson as Anna, an ambitious young American who travels across the Atlantic to fulfill her childhood dream of studying at Oxford University. With her future mapped out and career goals clearly in sight, Anna’s plans are suddenly upended when she meets a clever and charming local, played by Corey Mylchreest. Their connection sets both of their lives on a new, deeply emotional course.
My Oxford Year is based on the novel by Julia Whelan, with a screenplay by Allison Burnett and Melissa Osborne, and a story also credited to Burnett. The film features a talented ensemble including Dougray Scott, Catherine McCormack, Harry Trevaldwyn, Esmé Kingdom, Nikhil Parmar, Poppy Gilbert, Romina Cocca, Yadier Fernández, Nia Anisah, and Hugh Coles.
