‘Vampire Diaries’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

Our favorite beloved vampire show ended in 2017. Now six years after the last episode, the cast has been up to a lot. Check out what each cast member is up to now in 2023!

Nina Dobrev

Actress Nina Dobrev has been having a great time traveling with her boyfriend, Olympian snowboarder Shawn White, and pals since leaving her role as Elena Gilbert. She frequently advertises the wine company Fresh Vine Wine which she co-owns with Julianne Hough, on social media, and we are thrilled with how well it has done.

Ian Somerhalder

Hello, brother! Remember Damon Salvatore? Of Course, you do! Actor Ian Somerhalder has become a father for the second time this year! He took to Instagram in January, in which he posted a picture of his wife Nikki Reed, who is most known for playing Rosalie Cullen on the Twilight saga, holding their daughter Bodhi Soleil and cradling her growing baby bump. We are so excited for this family and can’t wait to meet their newest member!

Paul Wesley

I was feeling epic! Paul Wesley and the famous phrase by Stefan Salvatore are both timeless. Since the show’s end, Wesley has partnered with Mindset, an app where he shares a glimpse into his life and experiences with others. This collaboration was noted by Wesley on his Instagram sometime in 2022, but since then, he has continued being a contributor and entrepreneur to his co-owned bourbon company Brothers Bond with Ian Somerhalder.

Kat Graham

Kat Graham played our favorite witch in the series, the iconic Bonnie Bennett! It is without a doubt that Graham has been pretty busy this year as she kicked it off on the cover of Von magazine by Ellen Von Unwerth. She has continued advocating and being a Goodwill Ambassador to the UNHCR, and she has also been on the fashion scene, currently seen at Paris Fashion Week attending shows.

Matt Davis

The last time we saw Matt Davis as the dear Alaric Saltzman was in the spinoff series Legacies. His character had stepped down from his role as headmaster of the Salvatore boarding school to travel the world. Since then, Davis joined Instagram on February 16 and has focused on being a father to his daughter Ripley Nightingale and even dabbled recently in music producing, per his Instagram post.

Candice King

The last time we saw Caroline Forbes, she became Headmistress of the Salvatore Boarding School in the spinoff series Legacies. Since the end of the TV show in 2022, the actress has continued her podcast, A Super Bloom Podcast, as shown on her Instagram as well as continuing motherhood to her children, Florence May and Josephine June. King has also made a comeback on TikTok and has been creating videos. She recently posted one that poked fun at her fan base for claiming she was a vampire due to her remaining ageless so she replied with a video taking off her Vampire Diaries daylight ring from the show to show her humanity. Gotta love her sense of humor!

@itscandicekingYes… I read your comments 😜 and I’m not an actual vampire…just a human with an SPF and night cream obsession but thank you for asking xo (and yes that is Caroline’s daylight ring and one of the few things I took from set 🤫 ) 🩸 ☀️ 😱♬ Hi – temoc🍉
