There are multiple flashbacks showing Xevelyn’s attempts to teach Elida how to rule and the fact that the queen murdered the king! The mother-daughter reunions is not exactly how Elida planned and there is some friction as her mother still wants control of the sterzaad. There are a couple fun characters that come back such as Gladys and Chaz! Lazaro gains control of our heroes and has Amae stabbed Elida! However, Elida is immune to the sterzaad and ends up in a fight against Lazaro. Then Xevelyn shows her true colors when she takes the high-powered ship with Volun and disappears possibly heading towards Earth.
