The Classic Scare: American Horror Story

For those who love the classics, this is the ultimate treat for you. With 10 seasons available to stream on Hulu and with its 11th season coming later this Fall, American Horror Story encapsulates the true essence of traditional twisted tales. From Voodoo witches to bloodthirsty pale creatures of the night all the way to iconic Halloween specials, this is the best show to get you in the mood this spooky season.

The Old School Slasher: Scream Queens

If you are seeking more teen drama than horror then this is the one for you. With lots of unexpected twists and dark humor, this show is the perfect late night watch with friends. Chanel Oberlin and her minions wish you a Happy “Chanel-’o-ween”. You can stream Scream Queens on Hulu.

The Twisted Mind: Ratched

This Golden Globe nominee has proven to be one of the most viewed debut shows on the Netflix platform in 2020. This show follows the backstory of the evil female villain from Ken Kesey’s classic, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Mildred Ratched, a nurse, tries everything she can to release her foster brother Edmund Tolleson, who is locked up in an unconventional mental hospital after murdering four priests. The show is rumored to be renewed for Season 2.

True Crime Horror: DAHMER

For the true crime addicts, we have the next big thing that premiered on Netflix on September 21st. The limited series examines the freaky tale of the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, through the eyes of his victims while also shedding light on the mistakes made by Wisconsin law enforcement, which allowed him to get away with his heinous murders for years.

New Haunting Stories: 657 Boulevard – The Watcher

We are incredibly excited to find out more about this one. In September, Netflix began advertising the program with a viral campaign starring Jennifer Coolidge as Karen Calhoun, the series’ estate agent. Although very cryptic at this point, Netflix and Ryan Murphy Productions are eyeing an early October 2022 release. The listing that the show is based around seems to also have made an appearance on Zillow! There’s something eerie about 657 Boulevard.
