Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak kicked off the event with an instant classic. The reunited tag team of The Miz and John Morrision retained their Smackdown Tag Team Championships in the other Elimination Chamber match of the evening. Sami Zayn also becomes the new Intercontinental Champion by defeating Braun Strowman in a gritty 3 on 1 handicap match.
