The Real Housewives of Dallas Returns To Bravo January 5th.

Saddle up housewives fans because the Real Housewives of Dallas (RHOD) is coming back to our tv screens!

The highly entertaining and fabulous southern wives are coming back to Bravo for season 5 of #RHOD on January 5th. Just this week, we got to see a look at the trailer, and boy, are we in for a treat! Stephanie Hollman, Brandi Redimond, Kameron Westcott, D’andra Simmons, and Kary Brittingham are all returning for another season! Alongside newcomer Tiffany Moon and “friend of” the housewives Jennifer Davis Long. This will be the first season of Dallas without the firecracker herself, Leann Locken, who has been the biggest personality on the show for the past four years. However, after watching the trailer, I can guarantee you all there will be no shortage of drama without Leann, as this highly anticipated season is just weeks away!

The Dallas ladies will be picking up right where they left off last season. However, this new season was filmed completely during Covid-19. There may not be as many lavish trips and parties per usual, but we do know the wives took trips more locally and had intimate, safe small gatherings. We can still expect much glam and excitement from our Dallas girls pandemic or not. RHOD has mostly been centered around OG Stephanie Hollman and her best friend Brandi Redimond. This season Stephanie is going to be comforting Brandi as she deals with major backlash for her recent inappropriate, racist actions. Earlier this year, Brandi was mocking the Asian community in a resurfaced video that was put on Twitter, referring to the Asian communities eyes as slanted. Brandi has since apologized about the video, but due to the resurfacing and celebrities who have spoken out against Brandi, social media has been giving Brandi a tough time as they want to hold her accountable. Rightfully so. This season Brandi is going to have to come to terms with her past mistakes and, with the help of BFF Stephanie Hollman, hopefully, use this as a learning lesson to do better and show others how to grow from past mistakes. With the new housewife Tiffany being the first ever Asian to be on housewives, we can expect Tiffany to confront Brandi on her past.

Another huge part of #RHOD is the one and only D’Andra Simmons. Throughout D’Andra’s four years on the show, we have seen the ups and downs of her rollercoaster relationship with her estranged mother, also known as “Momma Dee.” This season will be no different because, in the trailer, we see Momma Dee refer to her daughter as an “opportunistic person who does things for personal gain.” This is the feud that keeps on going, but to be honest, I have always been on D’andra’s side. I think Momma Dee has been consistently very condescending towards her daughter. As far as the pretty in pink Kameron Westcott, we know from Instagram that she is moving homes this season. If we know anything about Kameron, we can expect her new home to be just as much, if not more, fabulous than the last. Kameron has always been my favorite on the show season after season. I love her bubbly, sassy, and fabulous personality.

Kary Brittingham, who will be returning for her second season, had a really tough first season as she feuded with Leann all season long. While she won’t have to deal with Leann this year, we know from the trailer that Kary will be getting into it with newcomer Tiffany, among others. Kary will be called out for her drinking this season; as we see in the trailer, she gets out of hand multiple times. So much so that she pushes Tiffany and D’andra into the pool during a wild night gathering. Tiffany has spoken out about this incident stating that she didn’t know how to swim, and Kary knew that. Kary also tried to excuse her behavior by saying she did not remember because she was drunk. Kary already has a lot to address at the reunion because we’ve seen on social media there are a couple of the wives, including Tiffany, who are not on good terms with Kary today. I am expecting Kary to be the “villain” of this season.

As far as the newcomers, Tiffany and “friend of” Jennifer, we know that Tiffany will be introduced as a friend of D’andras and will be the first ever Asian American to join any housewives franchise, let alone the first minority to join Dallas. I am so excited to watch Tiffany, as many fans probably have seen her viral Tik Tok videos! Tiffany is an anesthesiologist and mother of four. Tiffany had no shortage of airtime in the trailer, so don’t be surprised if you see her at the center of controversy this season. As I mentioned before, there will be a feud between Kary and Tiffany, and I know the season hasn’t started yet but is it too early to take sides? #teamtiffany. The other newcomer Jennifer is a realtor and a redhead! Alongside Brandi, we have two gingers this season, and as a redhead myself, I am thrilled to see the red hair representation. Jennifer will be introduced as a friend of Kamerons.

The Real Housewives of Dallas premieres on January 5th, only on Bravo. Linked is the trailer below from Stephanie’s Instagram!
