Summer may be winding down, but the fall movie season is just heating up. According to Fandango’s managing editor Erik Davis, who surveyed more than 2,000 moviegoers, there are plenty of films fans can’t wait to see between now and Halloween. From sweeping romances and musical comebacks to bone-chilling horror and action-packed sequels, this fall’s lineup has something for everyone.
Here are the most anticipated movies for fall 2025:
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere – October 24th
Jeremy Allen White takes on the role of Bruce Springsteen in this raw portrait of The Boss during the making of his stark and haunting Nebraska album.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey – September 19th
Starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, this sweeping, time-bending romance follows two lost souls who are given the chance to rewrite the past.
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues – September 12th
The long-awaited sequel to the 1984 classic This Is Spinal Tap is packed with cameos from music legends including Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Questlove. Expect plenty of laughs as the band turns up the volume once again.
One Battle After Another – September 26th
A gritty drama that centers on three former revolutionaries who must reunite when one of their daughters is kidnapped by a dangerous faction.
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale – September 12th
