‘The Bachelorette’ Week 4 Recap and Reactions!

From the men completing challenges run by girl scouts, two very promising one-on one-dates, and more messy Brayden moments, the fourth week of The Bachelorette was full of moments fans could not get enough of!

In the fourth episode of The Bachelorette Season 20, viewers watched as Charity and the now 10 men traveled to Stevenson, Washington. With 2 adorable one-on-one dates, an eventful group date that saw one man packing his bags, and a drama-filled rose ceremony, the halfway point of their journey to find love was full of excitement. Let’s take a look at what fans are saying about it on Twitter!

Charity and Dotun

Dotun was chosen for the first date of the episode, where he and Charity went bungee jumping. Charity was noticeably very nervous beforehand, but Dotun was right there with her as they conquered their fears together. They enjoyed it so much they even went twice! At night they sat around a campfire and made s’mores, which was a first for Dotun. He opened up about immigrating to the United States as a child, and she shared what it was like to grow up in the suburbs of Georgia where not many people looked like her. Charity and Dotun’s already strong connection only grew stronger and he received a rose at the end of the date, much to the excitement of Bachelor Nation.

The Group Date

On this week’s group date, Joey, Aaron, Michael, Caleb, and Brayden were chosen to meet Charity in the woods. When they arrived, they were met with 3 local girl scouts who led a series of challenges for the men, with the prize being extra time with Charity at the “kissing tree”. The first challenge was foraging for food in the woods. Afterward, the men took part in trivia run by the girl scouts. One of the questions asked was “Who would you eat to survive?”, with all of the men unanimously saying Brayden in what was an uncomfortable moment for Charity. The winner of the date was Aaron for his cute trivia answers, and he got to visit the kissing tree with Charity.

The Cocktail Party

In what may have been the most dramatic cocktail party yet, the tension between all of the men and Brayden finally came to a head. Charity walked in on their conversation as the men told her Brayden isn’t ready for an engagement. Charity, understandably frustrated as this has been a recurring issue, pulled him to talk. While Brayden has been able to talk himself out of these situations in the past, Charity finally had enough this time and sent him home. The rest of the cocktail party went smoothly as the remaining men reassured Charity of their feelings toward her and most importantly that they are ready for an engagement at the end. Fan-favorite Joey received the group date rose as Charity told viewers at home they have an undeniable connection.

Charity and Xavier

Xavier was chosen for the second date of the week where he and Charity explored the town of Stevenson, going to a fruit festival and taking a train ride full of stunning views. Charity told viewers that while Xavier is undoubtedly boyfriend material, she is not confident that he is husband material. The daytime portion of the date was full of laughs and cute moments, but Charity still felt unsure if their connection was strong enough. The nighttime portion of the date solidified Xavier’s status as husband material as he moved Charity to tears after opening up about his relationship fears, hope for the future, and his mother’s illness.

The Rose Ceremony

The cocktail party before the rose ceremony started off smoothly. The men furthered their connections with Charity, who shared that the guys defending her this week strengthened their bonds in a unique way. What was looking like the calmest rose ceremony thus far quickly took a turn because Brayden showed up much to the shock of the other men and Charity. Brayden tried to apologize to Charity, who wasn’t fazed as she sent him packing for a second time. The men followed him to the car and confronted him for taking their valuable time with Charity away as he left for good. Michael, Caleb, and John were sent home leaving 6 men left on their journey to find love.
