Tessa Blanchard is still dealing with racist allegations.
Impact Wrestling World Champion Tessa Blanchard was a bit of hot water last week being accused of being a racist and a bully by several female wrestlers. She has since spoke publicly after she won her championship, and then released a statement on social media.
Over the last week I have been accused of calling a fellow wrestler a racial slur. To read this allegation has been personally upsetting, she said. To be clear, I absolutely did not use that word. That word is not in my vocabulary. That word is not in my heart. Racism is not in my heart.Yet I know many people have to deal with racism in a way I will never have to. Racism is an awful part of American history, and it is equally awful that its still part of our society today. While I did not do what was claimed, I stand ready to use my platform to support the fight against racism however I can.
So just in case you dont remember NWA Champion, Sienna went public over the weekend about an incident that took place in Japan in 2017 involving Tessa and a wrestler named La Rosa Negra. Other women have also come forward saying they had knowledge of the incident, including AEW wrestler Big Swole who said shes been trying to deal with the situation in private since last year.
Now after Tessas tweet, Sienna had some things to say on Twitter saying,I said what I had to say so Id love to move on, but I just got several msgs about @Tess_Blanchard trying to spread lies. Unfortunately for you, Ive built my 11-yr reputation on being respectful. Instead of owning up to your mistakes, you lie, scheme & prove you havent changed.This is one reason people dont speak up. Its also one of the reasons I felt I needed to be the one to do so. I have a thick skin, theres no dirt on me, I have a large platform & amt of colleagues who vouch for me. Ill gladly absorb this frontline of idiocy to shield my friend.
Sienna claims she received a message from a friend who said Tessa Blanchard was trying to find dirt and spread lies about her. Saying her source said, I got this dm. I think Tessa is trying to shop stuff to take her down.
Well we will see what will happen next.
