‘Stargirl’s’ Kikéy Castillo Reveals Season 3 Will Be A Game Changer!

Stargirl is coming back, and it is going to be better than ever! Kikéy Castillo explains why this season will be unlike prior ones and lets us know if there will be a season 4.

The wait is finally over because Stargirl’s highly anticipated third season is coming on The CW.

Kikéy Castillo, who plays Maria Montez, the mother of Yolanda, spoke with Benny Adams on Let’s Binge About It as to why this season will be unlike anything fans have seen before and if there are talks for a season 4.

One change fans will see during season 3 is that Maria will have more of a major storyline that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

“Marias and Yolanda’s relationship continues to be filled with conflict, but Maria ups the ante this season. It will leave fans questioning Maria’s motives and thoughts behind her relationship with Yolanda. Get ready to see some more stuff out of Maria that will probably make people’s jaws drop.” Said Castillo.

Maria isn’t the only one to look out for because according to Castillio, this season will be unlike any season prior.

“There is a lot of new stuff coming this way on season 3. You have Starman coming back in, and you have the crock’s moving next door. This is going to be a season you’ve never seen before, and none of our fans have seen anything like this. The special and visual effects, the fighting sequences, it will be wild, and a great season.” Explained Castillo.

The CW renewed Season 3 of Stargirl months ahead of the series season 2 premiere. Since then, many shows have been canceled due to Nexstar acquiring a 75 percent ownership stake in the broadcast network, but there’s still no word on the fate of Stargirl season 4.

“I haven’t heard anything… I think that we are positioned pretty well to be renewed, but you never know. My fingers are crossed.” Explained Castillo.

Although season 4 has not been confirmed season 3 will be the one to watch for new and hardcore fans alike.

“Make sure that you pay close attention to the details this season, there’s going to be some great easter eggs. There are going to be so many characters this season with a little bit of a different tone. It will be a fan favorite season 3.”

Season 3 of Stargirl premieres Wednesday, August 31 on The CW.
