Saturday Night Live is shaking up its lineup ahead of season 51, adding five new performers to the cast following a wave of departures.

For longtime viewers, Marshall is already a familiar face. Since 2021, he has been part of the writing staff and a key member of the comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy, frequently appearing in on-camera sketches. His promotion to the cast solidifies his growing presence on the show.
The other additions reflect the show’s strategy of tapping into fresh talent, especially from social media. Culhane, Patterson, and Slowikowska all boast strong followings on TikTok, where they’ve built reputations for their comedic content.

Brennan rounds out the group of newcomers. Known for his comedy performances, he has previously appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The fresh faces arrive after the departure of four cast members was confirmed last week. Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, and Emil Wakim will not be returning for the upcoming season.
With a mix of seasoned contributors and rising stars, season 51 of Saturday Night Live looks set to usher in a new era of comedy. The show returns with its premiere episode on October 4.
