Simu Liu is officially off the market—and he went all out to make it unforgettable. The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star announced on May 11 that he’s engaged to longtime girlfriend Allison Hsu, marking the occasion with a dreamy Parisian proposal and a truly jaw-dropping ring.
The newly engaged couple shared a series of romantic photos on Instagram, giving fans a front-row seat to the special moment. One snapshot shows the pair embracing in front of the Eiffel Tower, while another captures Hsu proudly showing off her massive oval-cut diamond engagement ring on a candlelit balcony adorned with pink flowers.
Hsu sweetly commented on the joint post, “Us forever,” followed by three ring emojis and three white hearts.

The news quickly drew love from Hollywood, with stars like Olivia Munn and Florence Pugh—Liu’s Avengers: Doomsday co-star—leaving congratulatory comments on the couple’s post.
Liu and Hsu’s love story began in late 2022, when the couple first sparked romance rumors after she posted a cozy photo of them together. Days later, they made their red carpet debut at the Violent Night premiere in Los Angeles, signaling they were officially an item.
Since then, Hsu has accompanied Liu to major events, including the star-studded premiere of Barbie in 2023. The actor hasn’t held back on celebrating his now-fiancée publicly either. For her birthday in August 2023, he shared a heartfelt tribute praising her impact on his life.
