Prime Video has dropped the explosive first trailer for Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam, the shocking three-part docuseries directed by two-time Emmy Award nominee Rebecca Chaiklin. The series, which dives deep into one of the most audacious frauds in Hollywood history, premieres globally on October 17, 2025, in more than 240 countries and territories.
The docuseries tracks the dramatic rise and fall of Zach Horwitz, an aspiring actor from Indiana who moved to Los Angeles in search of stardom. Obsessed with achieving A-list status, Horwitz orchestrated a massive Ponzi scheme worth more than $650 million. By creating a façade of power and influence, complete with fake ties to top Hollywood executives and entertainment companies, he convinced wealthy investors to back his ventures—only to use the money to fund his extravagant lifestyle of luxury cars, courtside seats, and a $5.7 million home.
At the heart of the series is an unflinching look at how Horwitz attempted to buy his way into fame. Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam features emotional accounts from those who knew him best, including his ex-wife Mallory, who fell in love with him as a teenager and later discovered the shocking truth of their life together. Friends-turned-business partners and even a longtime mistress also share their stories, peeling back the layers of a man who once seemed larger than life.
