Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban Reportedly Separate

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly separated after nearly 20 years of marriage. Sources say the actress is leaning on family support during the split.

After nearly two decades together, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly gone their separate ways. According to People, the Babygirl star, 58, and the country music singer, 57, have separated after 19 years of marriage.

A source told the outlet that Kidman’s sister, Antonia, has been a source of strength during this difficult time, sharing, “Nicole’s sister has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.” The insider added that Kidman did not want the marriage to end, noting, “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

TMZ first broke the news of the couple’s reported split, claiming the two had been living apart “since the beginning of summer.” The outlet reported that Kidman has custody of their daughters — Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14 — and has been “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.” Urban is said to have moved out of their Nashville home and into a separate property.

Kidman and Urban’s romance began in 2005. Kidman previously shared that a heartfelt gesture on her 38th birthday cemented her feelings for him. The actress recalled how Urban appeared outside her apartment at 5 a.m. with a bouquet of gardenias, telling People at the time, “That is when I went, ‘This is the man I hope I get to marry.’”

The pair wed in June 2006 and went on to build a family together. Their first daughter, Sunday, was born in 2008, followed by Faith in 2010. Throughout their nearly 20-year marriage, they were often seen together at major events, including red carpet appearances at the Country Music Awards and the American Country Music Awards.

As recently as June 2025, Kidman posted a loving tribute to Urban on Instagram for their anniversary, further highlighting how sudden the reported separation appears. Over the years, both had spoken openly about their love and admiration for one another. In 2024, Kidman told People, “I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love.”

Urban echoed those sentiments in 2020 during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. “She’s just the one. She’s the one that I was searching for my whole life, and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road,” he said at the time.

Now, after nearly 20 years, their marriage has come to an end, marking the close of a chapter that once seemed unshakable.
