Netflix reopens Nevermore Academy admissions with new video as Wednesday season 2 sets split premiere dates for August and September.
Netflix is throwing open the creaky gates of Nevermore Academy once again — and this time, everyone’s invited.
The streamer has relaunched the official recruitment site for Nevermore Academy, timed perfectly to build anticipation for the return of its smash hit series Wednesday. A special new video welcomes prospective “students” to apply, featuring none other than Nevermore’s quirky Principal Dort, played by Steve Buscemi.
Whether you’re a normie or an outcast, Nevermore wants you to join the spooky fun — and with Wednesday season 2 on the way, there’s plenty of creepy curriculum to look forward to.
Season 2 of Wednesday is being split into two spine-chilling parts. Part 1, covering episodes 201–204, premieres August 6, 2025, while Part 2, episodes 205–208, lands a few weeks later on September 3, 2025.
Jenna Ortega returns as the deadpan icon Wednesday Addams, once again navigating the eerie halls of Nevermore Academy where new threats, strange alliances, and mysterious forces await. Still armed with her biting wit and sharp gaze, Wednesday finds herself plunged into another unsettling supernatural mystery — all while juggling family drama, friendships, and the occasional undead encounter.
Returning to lead the madness are series creators and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with executive producer and visionary director Tim Burton also back behind the camera. Burton himself directed four of the season’s eight episodes (201, 204, 207, and 208), with Paco Cabezas (episodes 202, 203) and Angela Robinson (episodes 205, 206) stepping in to direct the others.
Season 2 also brings back a stellar cast including Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer. In addition to Buscemi’s new recurring role, a long list of eye-catching guest stars will haunt the season, including Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, and Heather Matarazzo. Even Lady Gaga and Frances O’Connor are set to appear in Part 2.
The series, produced by MGM Television, continues to draw fans into its gothic world with mystery, charm, and just the right amount of mayhem.
