Netflix renews Haunted Hotel for a second season as the spooky animated comedy from Rick and Morty creators continues its Top 10 run.
Netflix is keeping the scares — and laughs — alive. The streamer has officially renewed Haunted Hotel for a second season, just in time to celebrate the spooky season. To mark the occasion, new posters have been released, daring fans to “Download If You Dare!”
The adult animated comedy only launched last week but wasted no time landing on Netflix’s Global English TV Top 10 list, signaling a strong start for the series.
Created by Matt Roller (Rick & Morty), the series comes with some big names behind the scenes. Executive producers include Chris McKenna and Dan Harmon (Rick & Morty), along with Steve Levy and Roller himself. Animation studio Titmouse is behind the visuals, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina also serving as executive producers. The show’s look and feel are guided by supervising director Erica Hayes (Rick & Morty).
The voice cast is stacked with comedic talent, featuring Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson.
Season 1 introduced viewers to its quirky premise: a single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the unexpected help of her estranged brother — now one of the ghosts haunting the property. As it turns out, the other spirits also have some “pretty good ideas” of their own, adding to the bizarre yet hilarious chaos.
With Netflix confirming Season 2, fans can expect even more ghoulish hijinks and paranormal family drama from this offbeat animated comedy.
