Netflix is raising a glass to history with the debut of the official trailer for House of Guinness. The sweeping period drama will premiere globally on September 25, 2025, bringing to life the fascinating legacy of one of Europe’s most famous dynasties.

Created and written by Steven Knight, House of Guinness is set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, beginning in the aftermath of the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness. His will sparks a seismic shift for his four adult children — Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben — while reverberating across Dublin society, including workers and locals intertwined with the meteoric rise of the Guinness brewery. The series promises to explore ambition, power, loyalty, and the lasting cultural impact of a family empire.

The limited series will consist of eight 50-minute episodes and is produced by Kudos and Nebulastar. Executive producers include Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Steven Knight, Martin Haines, Tom Shankland, and Ivana Lowell, with Cahal Bannon serving as series producer and Howard Burch as producer. Directing duties are split between Tom Shankland and Mounia Akl.

The ensemble cast is stacked with talent. Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air, Manhunt) stars as Arthur Guinness, with Louis Partridge (Disclaimer, Enola Holmes) as Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn (The Responder, Saturday Night) as Anne Plunket (née Guinness), and Fionn O’Shea (Normal People, Dance First) as Benjamin Guinness.

The supporting lineup includes James Norton (Happy Valley), Dervla Kirwan (True Detective: Night Country), Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones), Niamh McCormack (Everything Now), Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone), Ann Skelly (The Nevers), Seamus O’Hara (Blue Lights), Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones), David Wilmot (Station Eleven), Michael Colgan (Say Nothing), Jessica Reynolds (Kneecap), Hilda Fay (The Woman in the Wall), and Elizabeth Daulau (Andor).

House of Guinness marks another prestige project for Kudos, part of Banijay UK, known for producing acclaimed dramas such as This Town, SAS Rogue Heroes, Deadwater Fell, Grantchester, and Responsible Child.

With Steven Knight at the helm — the writer behind Peaky Blinders and This Town — and a cast filled with rising stars and established names, House of Guinness is set to be one of Netflix’s most ambitious dramas of 2025.
