Netflix and Skydance Animation are giving fans their first fresh look at Swapped, the animated feature formerly known as Pookoo, as the studios debut a new image and officially confirm that Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple have joined the voice cast. The film is set to arrive on Netflix in 2026, marking a new buddy-comedy adventure from director Nathan Greno, best known for Tangled.
Greno helms the project with a powerhouse producing team that includes John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews. The story comes from John Whittington, Adam Karp, Christian Magalhaes & Robert Snow, and Greno himself, with a screenplay by Whittington and Magalhaes & Snow.
Swapped centers on an unlikely duo: a small woodland creature voiced by Jordan and a majestic bird voiced by Temple. Natural sworn enemies of The Valley, the two characters suddenly find themselves forced into the wildest collaboration imaginable after they swap bodies. To survive their unexpected predicament — and navigate life in each other’s feathers and fur — the rivals must team up and rethink everything they believed about their place in the world.
