The upcoming contestants for season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race have been announced!

The new queens were “RuVealed” by last season’s winner, Jaida Essence Hall, this past Wednesday. As per usual, the drag queens are set to battle it out for a cash prize of $100,000 and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”

This season sounds exciting, with queens coming from all different walks of life. The first-ever contestant from Arkansas will be on this season as well as a drag mother-daughter duo from Atlanta! This season will also welcome the first-ever trans male contest to the show!

With that being said, let’s meet this season’s queens!

Welcome the first queen to be RuVealed, Denali! Growing up in Alaska, Denali is into all things ice cold – including figure skating!

Elliott with 2TS

From Las Vegas, Nevada, queen “Elliott with 2TS” wants to elevate drag! A goofy ballet dancer at heart, this queen is ready to take on the competition.

Gottmik or Got Milk? This queen is a professional makeup artist so we’re very excited to see what looks come from them this season! Gottmik is also the first trans male on RuPaul’s Drag Race and comes from Los Angeles!

LaLa Ri

30 years old and drawing from Atlanta, LaLa Ri is ready to hit the stage. They’ve only been doing drag for 3 years, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t ready to entertain!

Olivia Lux

“Olivia” comes from “Olivia Pope”, lead star of Scandal! “Lux” comes from the Latin word, light, because she lights up the room.

Another NYC contestant, Rosé calls herself a comedy queen! This performer loves Barbara Streisand, acting, and the color pink! They also stated they’re nervous to uphold the “NYC” queen standard.

Now 25 years old, this queen has been doing drag since they were 18 years old. Symone is the first Arkansas queen and is ready to represent. They can pull off looks from any decade and plans to utilize that this season!

Coming in hot, Tina Burner has been doing drag ever since they first put on one of their mother’s dresses! She loves big hair, big dresses, and putting on a show!

Utica Queen

From Utica, Minnesota, home of 200 people, Utica Queen emerges! Taking aesthetic ideas from Tim Burton, this kooky queen is ready to light up the stage.

This season is set to air on VH1 for January 1st, the perfect welcome for the New Year!
