John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Speak for First Time About Their Miscarriage

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are thanking people for the love and support they have received after sharing their miscarriage with the world last month.

John Legend performed for the first time since he and wife Chrissy Teigen lost their baby boy on September 30. He dedicated his Billboard Music Award performance to her and sang a brand new song, Never Break.

On Instagram he shared the meaning behind his latest single writing, “I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test.” He went on to add, “Our love will remain. We will never break.”

In his post he also expressed his admiration for Teigen saying, “I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together.”

Legend went on to thank everyone for the outpouring of love they have received these past few weeks. “Thank you to everyone who has been sending us prayers and well wishes, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy. We feel and appreciate your love and support more than you know.”

Since the beginning of Chrissy’s pregnancy complications, with the constant bleeding, bed rest, and even her stay in the hospital, people have been thanking her for being so open and honest with everyone to show that pregnancy isn’t easy and sadly, can be devastating. Sharing their miscarriage, created an opportunity to provide more people with knowledge about the terrible loss families face far too often.

In John’s post he says, “More than anything, we’ve heard so many stories about how so many other families have experienced this pain, often suffering in silence. It’s a club no one wants to be a part of, but it’s comforting to know we’re not alone.”

Chrissy posted John’s message on her Instagram with the caption, “We are quiet but we are okay. Love you all so much.”

Friends, fans and other celebrities are all supporting the couple through this difficult time sharing their thoughts.

We send our love and well wishes to Chrissy, John and their entire family.
