This week Olivia is sitting down with one of the first hosts of AfterBuzz TV, DJ Jesse Janedy.
With his infectious smile, unique life perspective, and a deep rooted love for music, DJ Jesse Janedy brings a room to life; whether he is entertaining a crowded nightclub, directing a panel of co-hosts, or interviewing the hottest celebrities.
Jesse was born in Melrose Massachusetts, just north of Boston, but spent most of his teenage years growing up on Cape Cod, where he directed and performed in numerous high school plays and local theater presentations. While in high school, he began deejaying at local nightclubs, quickly developing a strong following.
After high school, Jesse moved to New York City to attend Pace University for marketing, where he was a deejay at the college radio station (WPUB) and began honing his stand-up comedy skills, performing at venues throughout the Big Apple.
In 2011, after reconnecting with TV Personality Maria Menounos Jesse relocated to California to help launch a new online broadcast network Maria and her team were developing called ‘AfterBuzz TV’. Today, ‘AfterBuzz TV’ has over 20 million weekly downloads in 150 different countries.
Aside from hosting and producing multiple shows on ‘AfterBuzz TV’, Jesse co-hosts ‘Black Hollywood Live’ and is host of BHL’s ‘The Beat’. As host he has interviewed a variety of celebrities including Steve Harvey, Jimmy Fallon, Kathy Griffen, Roseanne Barr, Damon Wayans and many more.
Jesse’s upbeat and approachable style captivates audiences and brings a fresh and exciting tilt to traditional interviewing. You can follow Jesse everywhere online @djjessej.
