Game of Charades- S3 E17 'Dynasty' After Show

On this weeks CW’s DYNASTY – SEASON 3 – EPISODE 17 – SHE CANCELLED everyone seems to be playing charades and keeping up appearances.

Always believe people when they show you who they really are. Ramy (Mustafa Elzein) has already shown Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) who he really is by stealing the Soccer leagues commissioner’s rolex last episode and unbeknownst to Sam making copies of the hotel keys. This week he shows Kirby (Maddison Brown), who has never trusted Ramy, that he knows Sam better by winning a bet over Sam’s tastes leading more towards tapas vs. champagne. Since Ramy’s return Sam has been protective, even allowing Kirby to feel guilty over being quick to blame Ramy for the rolex’s disappearance and never telling her she was right. Culhane lets it slip at his birthday party at La Mirage, causing Kirby to confront Sam and leading to a fight that may end their professional and personal relationships. Sam was too quick to stand up for his “friend” as Ramy steals the nights deposits from the safe and leaves cheese puffs, the first item the two had ever stolen together as kids, in the deposits place. Kirby who had threatened to quit comes into work early to find an apologetic Sam. Sam however finds an unforgiving Kirby who’s demeanor is more “I told you so” than “I love you so.” She remains an employee but their friendship remains to be seen.

Dominique and Vanessa are playing the mother daughter duo, with Vanessa pretending to be a Culhane love interest for the betterment of the reality show “House of Deveraux”, so much so they decide to throw Culhane a birthday bash. Culhane has no idea as he is very much in love with Vanessa. Vanessa even seems to come clean in regards to Dominique hiding and blocking the texts Culhane and Vanessa had sent one another. Culhane appreciates her honesty and decides to go through with the party. Sanders comes through with the truth for his favorite Culhane with a video showing Vanessa and Dominique discussing using Culhane and Vanessa being in on the plan.

Alexis is playing the mother she never was to Fallon as she intervenes in her wedding with announcements that showcase her name. Fallon is distraught over employee reviews being leaked online that highlight her as a worse boss than Alexis is a mother. Her attempt to go on the I Love Sydney Podcast to contact her favorite designer Gigi Henry is blocked by Gigi’s reluctance to even speak to Fallon because of her online negative reviews. Fallon decides to go on the show to tell her side and Alexis decides to crash. Alexis’ attempt to help by stealing the spotlight works out better than she imagines as the interest pours in on her motherly skills, donning her Aunt Alexis to help with peoples problems. Alexis becomes a frequent guest on I Love Sydney and even a favorite of Gigi the designer. Covering her voice not so well Fallon calls in and gets surprisingly great advice from Alexis who recognizes Fallon’s voice right away. Alexis is offered a show and Fallon tops the offer making Aunt Alexis a new property of Fallon Unlimited.

Father Collins plays a preist but does not play around when it comes to his feelings about Cristal. Being part of the hospital board and Cristal’s charity has brought the two closer and sparks fly at a bruncheon at the Carrington manner with other hospital representative Adam present. He seems not to notice but Blake notices a banned Adam in the house. Adam would love a shot at redemption with his father but Blake is not having it. Cristal feels guilty for reciprocating the father’s unholy feelings and lies to have him miss meetings. Adam being suspicious finds out why when he sees Father Collins address Cristal, the two discuss their feelings, and act on them with a long intense kiss.

The biggest charade of all, is Blake attempting to break up Liam and Fallon’s wedding as a proposition by Liam’s mother Laura Van Kirk who has never liked the two as a couple. She sweetens the proposition by telling Blake she will help him get Carrington Atalantic back, the company that bares his family name. Blake invites Liam for an outing to get to know him better and invites doubt into the couple by introducing the idea that Fallon and Culhane may still have something going on and sowing seeds of doubt. Laura “tries” to help get Fallon her dream dress by invited Liam to lunch with a bribe of his fathers watch and offering her connection to Gigi Henry. Fallon refuses which leads to a fight. Fallon attends Culhane’s birthday alone. Liam crashes to see Fallon and Culhane having an innocent but seemingly flirty conversation. Liam and Fallon fight at the bar while the cameras are rolling and Blake and Laura watch in delight. It seems like a break up is imminent and Blake may be more devious than imagined. Until we find that Fallon and Liam were in on the charade. Blake had told Liam on their outing what Laura was up to. They even got Culhane on board. They knew all about it, what they didnt know was that Laura and Blake would share a long intense kiss of their own.

The Dynasty Podcast

On this weeks CW’s DYNASTY – SEASON 3 – EPISODE 20 – SEASON FINALE – “MY HANGOVER’S ARRIVED” – as if we hadn’t had enough kidnappings this season Fallon is kidnapped, but this time by her family and friends as they take her on her bachelorette party. As to be expected all goes wrong as we find ourselves in the Dynasty’s version of the Hangover. Fallon is still very upset at Liam for not telling her about his plans to save her father. Fallon is so upset she actually has a prenup for Liam, not so much for the financial aspect as they are both billionaires in their own right, but for rules that benefit Fallon.

We begin the journey to New Orleans, the home of Mardi Gras, and find ourselves in a luxurious penthouse suite, with an amazing view, and a mixtress Mistress Delphine, known for her alcoholic concoctions. The crew which includes Sammy, Kirby, Cristal, Allison, and Fallon herself. Cristal is there to stay friends with Fallon despite a possible separation and divorce, and to drink away her own sorrows. Sammy and Kirby are there as the planners and Fallon’s best friends. Allison, Fallon’s assistant, is there to act as chaperone. Fallon makes ground rules, no sashes, no strip clubs, no pictures, basically nothing tacky that can be used against them later.

After the first sip of Mistress Delphine’s concoction all the plans go out the window as the crew finds themselves waking up the next day with massive hangovers, no phones or purses, and no clue as to what happened. They have to piece it together as Fallon finds a Marriage Certificate to a person named “Scorpio”, which worryingly makes her think she may have married someone in her drunken state. They find a sash with a store name on it. Upon returning to the sash and looking at the surveillance video, they realize they actually shoplifted from the store. They are arrested. While in jail, the gang realizes two things. First, Fallon is unnecessarily upset at Liam because he is right about Fallon’s prone to over react and second that Allison is missing as Culhane points out as he has come to bail them out.

Allison had been calling from an unknown number the whole time. They find her in the hospital, as she had fallen off a mechanical bull and suffered a concussion. They then realize they went to a strip club. Another place they find themselves not welcome, Allison shows her breasts to the bouncer who has threatened to call the cops and makes off with his walkie talkie, prompting him to run after her. The motley crew goes into the club to find Scorpio. Fallon goes on stage to try to talk to Scorpio, after his being announced and her seeing her engagement ring on his finger. Scorpio, being extremely helpful explains he didnt get married to Fallon, he got married to Sammy. Scorpio also has the purses and cell phones and gives them back. Extremely good looking and level headed, Scorpio easily agrees to annulment to the marriage but asks Sammy to call him. There may be romance in the air. On the plane ride back we see embarrassing photos of the trip captured on Sammy’s phone.

Meanwhile, Adam has not given up on his plan to sabotage Blake and CA. First he releases information about the stolen tankers to the press leading to an investigation into CA, then he attacks Blake and the Energy official he contacted to have the investigation tank, when all else fails he has a tanker exploded at the moment of their press conference. The old Adam is back and so are his old ways.
