Marvel’s Eyes of Wakanda trailer arrives ahead of new August 1 release date as Disney+ reveals full voice cast for the action-packed series.
Marvel Animation’s Eyes of Wakanda is officially arriving earlier than expected—and it’s bringing an all-star voice cast and an explosive new trailer along with it.
Originally slated to premiere August 6, then moved to August 27, the highly anticipated four-part series will now debut August 1 on Disney+, the streamer confirmed. The updated date comes alongside the release of the show’s first trailer, which premiered following its unveiling last month at the Annecy International Animation Festival.
From executive producer Ryan Coogler, Eyes of Wakanda is set within the Black Panther universe and explores a previously untold chapter in Wakandan history. The animated action-adventure centers on the Hatut Zeraze, Wakanda’s elite warriors, as they travel the globe throughout history on high-stakes missions to recover lost Vibranium artifacts from enemies of the kingdom.
The series promises thrilling adventures, deepening the mythology of Wakanda while expanding the Marvel animated slate with bold visuals and storytelling rooted in cultural legacy and heroism.
Along with previously announced voice talent Cress Williams and Winnie Harlow, Disney+ has now revealed the full ensemble cast. It includes Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose.
Eyes of Wakanda is directed and executive produced by Todd Harris, known for his work on John Wick, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The series is produced in partnership with Proximity Media, led by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Kalia King. Executive producers also include Marvel mainstays Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt.
With only four episodes, Eyes of Wakanda looks to pack a powerful punch, blending historical scope, Afrofuturist action, and Marvel spectacle. Fans won’t have to wait long—Wakanda’s warriors return August 1.
