Everything We Know About ‘The Santa Clauses’ Season 2!

Season 2 of The Santa Clauses is set to premiere on Disney+. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming season of the television series!

The show is based on the popular film series, The Santa Clause and the first season came out on November 16, 2022. The trailer for the second season dropped out on October 17, 2023 and here’s everything we know so far!

The Plot

The story continues to follow Scott Calvin aka Santa Claus training his son Cal to become the next Santa Claus when it’s time for him to retire. Things take a turn for the worst when Magnus Antas known as The Mad Santa comes back to reclaim his throne. It’s up to the Calvin family to stop him from ruining the North Pole and Christmas as we know it!

The Cast

The returning cast includes Tim Allen who played Scott Calvin/Santa Claus in the original movie franchise and the first season of the show. Elizabeth Mitchell is reprising her role as Carol Calvin/Mrs. Claus, Tim Allen’s daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick will return to play Sandra Calvin Claus, and Austin Kane will also reprise his role as Cal Claus. Additionally, Matilda Lawler as Betty, Chief of Staff at the North Pole, and Devin Bright as Noel who is the right-hand elf at the North Pole are all returning. The new cast members joining the series are Eric Stonestreet as Magnus Antas/The Mad Santa and Gabriel Iglesias as Kris Kringle.

What Happened in the First Season

The first season of The Santa Clauses focused on Scott Calvin realizing he couldn’t be Santa forever and needed to find a successor. When the Calvin family leaves the North Pole, Calvin’s choice backfires. This led to his family joining in together to save Christmas once again! The season ended with the whole family pitching in to help with Scott’s Christmas duties, in hopes his son, Cal would become the next Santa Claus.

Release Date

The series will have a two-episode premiere on November 8, 2023 on Disney+. There will be one episode released every Wednesday after that and in total, there are six episodes. The show will conclude on December 6th, you won’t want to miss it!
