‘Euphoria’ Cast Weekly Update: Special Episode To Air In December

The Euphoria two-episode special finally has a release date! Zendaya shared the exciting news on her Twitter and Instagram expressing “we really missed them.” The first episode premieres on Dec. 6, 2020, on HBO and HBO Max. It’s still uncertain when the second episode will come out.

The photo, which stirred an uproar of excitement in the comment section, shows a zoomed-in shot of Hunter Schafer’s eye with Zendaya’s reflection in the center. The actress’s characters, Rue and Jules, portrayed a platonic friendship that developed into a romantic relationship in the first season of the teen hit drama. Celebrities like Bella Hadid and Yara Shahidi were among the many fans hyping up the announcement on Instagram.

Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Adobe Ann Lewnes interviewed Zendaya for a virtual Q&A sit down. During the event titled Creative Luminary, Zendaya spoke about her creative process changing amid COVID-19 and how she was involved in a new project. The actress worked with her friend and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, for a movie they and others produced during the quarantine.

The 24-year-old was referring to the feature film Levinson directed called Malcolm & Maire. The upcoming drama will be distributed by Netflix and stars Zendaya and John David Washington who recently appeared on the big screen in the blockbuster movie Tenet.

Outside of the film and television industry, Zendaya most recently encouraged followers on her social media pages to vote! The award-winning actress shared a short clip of her assistant and close friend, Darnell Appling, dropping off their ballots. Fans and magazines noticed a few gold locks in the actress’s newly done hair too!

Zendaya also shared fellow Euphoria castmate Angus Cloud’s Instagram post on her story yesterday. Cloud, who plays Fezco, uploaded two photos of himself while wearing a sweatshirt reading “f*ck this I’m voting,” and a t-shirt saying “fcuk this sh*t, vote.” The caption, which is in all caps, showcased Cloud’s strong distaste for President Donald Trump and his passion for voting, specifically in this election.

In other Euphoria cast news, Sydney Sweeney retweeted Variety and Deadline Hollywood regarding their stories about HBO’s latest limited series. Sweeney revealed she packed her bags and traveled to Hawaii for the production of The White Lotus, which starts filming this month. The 23-year-old actress joins Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton and others for the satirical, six-episode series under COVID-19 guidelines.

Co-creator of the HBO show Enlightened, Mike White is set to write, direct and executive produce this new series. Sweeney shared a photo from Deadline on her Instagram, articulating her appreciation and excitement for the new project.

Sweeney then graced her social media followers with a jaw-dropping bikini pic while lounging in her sunnies and bucket hat several days later. She then shared a mirror selfie from her hotel room in Hawaii yesterday.

Social activist and actress Storm Reid posted a video of herself dancing to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” while wearing a red hot pantsuit. The clip she shared on Insta was from her photoshoot and work with InStyle Magazine. More recently, Reid uploaded a brief video giving off “exuberant vibes,” with her hair and makeup done!

Maude Apatow was giving off her own angelic vibe in a series of photos she shared on Instagram. The Euphoria regular tagged photographer Olivia McDowell as well the NYC jewelry business Marla Aaron and the American clothing line, Anna Sui. Apatow wore a red lip, earrings from the custom shop, and a dress from the fashion company.

The 22-year-old actress has modeled for several designers in the last several months and is becoming a true fashion icon!

Ending this week’s Euphoria update is Algee Smith, better known by fans as Chris McKay, with another inspirational video. Followers know Smith loves to pass on motivational speeches and words of positivity on his Instagram page. In his newest clip, the 25-year-old sends viewers peace and blessings.

“Understand that somebody’s rooting for you somewhere. You’re not alone in this and even if you are alone or you feel like you’re alone, so what? Stick your chest out, pick your head up,” Smith shares. “Sometimes you gotta be your own cheerleader.”
