Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson & Family Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson revealed shocking information today on his Instagram. The blockbuster movie star told followers he, his wife Lauren Hashian, and their two daughters contracted the coronavirus.

The retired professional wrestler described the situation as “one of the most challenging and difficult things” he and his family have ever had to endure. The Rock then took the opportunity to encourage others to protect their families.

“I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn’t it. It was my entire family, so this one was a real kick in the gut,” The Rock shares in the video. “But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We are on the other end of it.”

The family is now recovering from the virus and is no longer contagious. The father of two reassures fans that the Johnsons are healthier and stronger than ever. The Rock empathizes with followers by acknowledging how most people now know someone who has been affected by the coronavirus in some way.

“I have had some of my best friends, have lost their parents, their loved ones to this virus that is so incredibly relentless and unforgiving, and it is insidious.”

Even though the Johnson’s are counting their blessings, The Rock disclosed more details about his and his family’s experience as a way to inform and caution others. He says his young daughters, Jasmine and Tiana, showed only minor symptoms and were able to bounce right back into being the cheerful girls that they are.

In the video, the actor also explained how he and his family contracted the virus from close family friends who had no idea where they picked up the virus. The Rock assured viewers that they isolated themselves to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. He, his wife and their two daughters went into lockdown back in March and have taken the pandemic seriously.

One of the key takeaways he shares is to limit the people gathering or visiting your home, even if it’s close family and friends. Watch the full video and see what other messages The Rock has for you.
